Finishfit® WBC Gloss FCM DFC 2038

Finishfit® WBC Gloss FCM DFC 2038 (= DFC, suitable for direct food contact) is recommend-ed for inline gloss coating in the sheetfed offset/coating unit (chamber doctor blade) of coated paper and board grades as well as labels and various corona-pretreated plastic films, e.g. PE and PP. Finishfit® WBC Gloss FCM DFC 2038 is suitable for all common coating devices on offset and flexo presses as well as coating machines. The coating is also suitable for off-line coating of dry, conventional inks. In both cases it can be used without water.

• Extreme wet blocking strength
• Low odour after drying
• Good adhesion to non-absorbent substrates
• Excellent rub resistance
• Excellent for packaging of odour-sensitive goods
• For DFC applications only suitable for the coated side
• Direct contact with dry and greasy filling materials possible
• Temporary barrier against grease and water. Depending on the applied quantity of ink and varnish applied and the used substrate
• Drying: hot air shower, IR radiation, powder spraying if required
• Minimum application quantity approx. 4 – 6 g/m²
• Standard viscosity 45 sec., measured at 20 °C with a DIN 4mm viscosity cup

Finishing

• Blind embossing: Suitable
• Hot foil embossing: Suitable with corresponding foils
• Gluabilityt: Given with suitable glues
• Corrugated board lamination: Suitable with sufficient intermediate drying
• Heat seal resistance: PP-Foil = suitable, MS-Folie = suitable

(Test in each case: 150 °C/2 sec./20 N/cm² - 2 layers of foil)

Application

• Stir well before use
• The properties depend on the substrate and the application quantity
• Powder spraying if required
• Only use printing inks which are solvent, alkali and spirit resistant accrding to DIN ISO 2836

Additives

• For cleaning flexo engraved rollers we recommend Cleanfit Anilox 2259

Storage

• Protect from frost, heat and direct sunlight
• Storage only in original packaging at 10 – 30 °C (50 – 86° F)
• Unopened and correctly stored Finishfit® WBC Gloss FCM DFC 2038 has a shelf life of 12 months from date of delivery
