PURe as a hot topic at the PraxisDialog of manroland sheetfed

It was a unique experience: the print demo with the new color system PURe. This opportunity was taken by visitors of the PraxisDialog on 27 and 28 September 2017 in Offenbach, Germany, at manroland sheetfed. The main issues discussed were commercial and packaging printing in 3B format as well as PURe, the latest development in sheetfed offset inks. The printing experts were curious about the unique sustainable colour system without metal dryers and photo initiators: presented in an expert lecture by Dr. Carl Epple and live demonstrated on an eight-colour ROLAND 700 Evolution perfecting press. The machine printed the PURe brochure in convincing quality, as the guests checked and confirmed immediately. What’s the secret of the ink recipe, because PURe is classified as no hazardous? Why does the environmentally friendly ink have such good drying characteristics? Dr. Carl Epple, Member of the Executive Board, Gerhard Janssen, Head of Sales, and other colour specialists from Epple answered these and other questions of the interested visitors.
