Special Process Inks
Prolaser Series
Prolaser Series
The manufacturers of laser printers specify that only inks must be used which do not soften in dried condition nor release volatile contents. The temperatures of the fuser rollers of the laser printers are between 200 and 225°C.
Softening of the inks in the fuser station leads to sticking, build-up on the fuser and nip roll and finally to the damage of the rolls. Volatile contents, by example mineral oils evaporate and volatilize in the fuser station with unwanted formation of fume.
This series is mineral oil free. The inks are oxidative drying and are forming a rigid temperature resistant ink film.
Application note
Before using the printed matter in a laser printer a minimum drying time of 72 hours must be observed.
The series is not duct fresh and has a very strong oxidative drying. Needless and long holding and down times must be avoided.
