Epple and Zeller+Gmelin: New UV ink series “LightStar”

Two traditional companies, one innovative ink series: To mark the start of their collaboration, Epple Druckfarben AG and Zeller+Gmelin have launched the UV sheetfed offset ink series “LightStar” on the international printing market.

The impressive results of this partnership are the first jointly developed UV sheetfed offset inks LightStar UV LE/LED, LightStar UV Paper, and a UV opaque white. The range will soon also include a UV coloured version for foil printing.

Specifically, Epple Druckfarben AG brings its many years of experience in production and the development of its own sheetfed offset printing inks to the development partnership. Zeller+Gmelin is an expert in UV technology for the UV printing inks and coatings sector. Together, the ink specialists have developed innovative UV ink series for different applications and pursue a clear strategy: While the UV ink series for the sheetfed offset application is marketed by the Epple group of companies under the LightStar brand, Zeller+Gmelin is responsible for producing the ink series.
