The sustainable printing ink – a good recipe for the environment

The effect is the focus. The composition of ecological inks is significant. It is the basis for your environmentally friendly operating effect, which at the end of the day is decisive for ecological assessment.

The parameters that determine the ecological value of an ink system are: the implemented raw materials and solvents. From Epple’s point of view, a sustainable printing ink should be mineral oil free and without any hazardous labelling, where possible. Naturally, the composition of ecological ink must comply with the requirements of its operational area.

Distinguished recipes. Epple selects the ingredients of its inks according to the strictest quality criteria and takes into account the production and printing technology properties of the ink in use, like for example application and drying. Just as much attention is given to obvious quality characteristics such as lustre, protective effect and durability.

Legal specifications on ecological criteria, which are being continuously further developed by politicians as well as Epple’s own commitment, are always kept in the company’s mind. This applies to all possible and future printing applications, both in commercial printing as well as packaging printing.

Environmentally friendly ink production. Epple is well known for its modern production plants and places value on sustainable processes in ink production. The methods of production are calculated very precisely within the framework of permanent process optimisation, in order to avoid residual amounts of ink in manufacturing.
