Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V.

The VCI represents the economic interests of German chemical and pharmaceutical companies and German subsidiaries of foreign corporations vis-à-vis important target groups: Politicians, authorities, other industries, science and media. Committees, technical committees, working groups and project groups develop the positions of the industry on topics such as energy, climate protection and raw materials, communication, sustainability, product and plant safety, legal affairs and taxation, protection of the environment, transport, economic affairs, science and research. The VCI's Chemical Industry Fund supports young talent in science, fundamental chemical research and chemistry teaching in schools.

• Implementation aids for the sustainability initiative Chemie³
• Purchasing cooperations
• Social security payments for artists as part of the Ausgleichsvereinigung Chemie (compensation agreement for the chemical industry)
